Director's Shareholding

The Company has been notified that Richard Wood, Chief Executive, yesterday sold 60,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company ("Shares") at an average price of 732.50 pence per Share as part of his personal tax planning.

Richard Wood's direct shareholding in the Company stands at 60,856 Shares representing 0.102% of the issued share capital of the Company that currently stands at 59,678,535 Shares. In addition, he is the beneficial owner of 292,465 conditional shares and nil-cost options under the Company's 2004 Performance Share Plan.
