Board Changes

Glanbia plc announces the following Board changes with effect from 19 June
2000:

* the election of Mr TP Corcoran as Chairman of the Board in succession to Mr
J Duggan who has retired as Chairman.  Mr Corcoran has been a Vice Chairman of
the Board since September 1997 and was formerly Chairman of Waterford Foods
plc (elected in 1997), having served as a non-executive Director since 1988. 
He was also, today, elected Chairman of Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited. 
Aged 60, he farms at Bohadoon, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford;

* the election of Mr EM Power as Vice Chairman;

* the appointment of Messrs TP Heffernan, CL Hill and M Parsons as            
  non-executive directors.

Mr MJ Walsh continues in his capacity as Vice Chairman. 

The new directors have notified the Company that they have no such details to
be disclosed as required under Paragraph 16.4, Chapter 16 of the Listing
Rules.
