Glanbia plc announces the following board changes with effect from 10 June 2004:



o  the retirement of Mr. Frank Quigley as a non-executive director of the
   Company.



o  the appointment of Mr. John G. Fitzgerald as a non-executive director
   of the Company.  Mr. Fitzgerald previously served as a non-executive director of
   the Company from September 1997 to May 2000 and is also a director of Glanbia
   Co-operative Society Limited.  Aged 48, he farms at Ross, Kilmeaden, Co.
   Waterford.



Mr. Fitzgerald has notified the Company that he has no details to be disclosed
as required under Paragraph 16.4, Chapter 16 of the Listing Rules.
