Notification of correction of information concerning transactions by connected person of Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

Pursuant to the Company's obligations under Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.2, Glencore International plc notifies that on 3 November 2011 FR Galaxy Holdings S.à r.l. (FR) notified the Company that:

1.     on 19 September 2011 FR sent  a notification to the Company that it had agreed to purchase 1,919,498 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company (Shares) and that FR's affiliate, ECP Galaxy Holdings S.à r.l. (ECP), had agreed to purchase 127,967 Shares, in both cases between 13 and 16 September 2011;

2.     due to an inadvertent error, FR's notification dated 19 September 2011 overstated the number of Shares purchased by FR and ECP during the relevant  period. In fact, during the period between 13 and 16 September 2011, FR agreed to purchase 741,060 Shares and ECP agreed to purchase 49,404 Shares;

3.     FR confirms that it currently holds a total of 146,247,165 Shares and that ECP holds a total of  9,749,811 Shares.

FR is a connected person of Mr. William Macaulay, a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities of Glencore International plc.
