Permitting Update
Great Western Mining (AIM: GWMO; Euronext Growth: 8GW) is pleased to provide the following update on permitting progress for this year's planned drilling campaigns on the M2 and M4 Copper-Gold Projects.
M2: The Company has now submitted a revision notice for the existing permit to the United States Bureau of Land Management ("BLM") and is planning to drill a further two deep holes to target a deeply buried zone within the host diorite rock, down plunge from the current M2 oxide copper resource. Approval for the Company's application is expected to be received in four to six weeks, with first drilling in the summer of this year.
M4: The Company has now received a formal Project Initiation Letter from the United States Forest Service ("USFS") for its Plan of Operations in respect of the proposed 2019 drill programme. GWM is planning to drill a further six bore holes to follow up on the successful 2018 programme, where a large quartz-copper vein was intercepted. These six new holes will test the extent of the breccia veining and the potential buried sulphide ore body, projected below by a significant IP anomaly. The USFS has now completed the external stage of the permitting process and final approval is expected after its internal review procedure, with drilling to commence late this summer.
Chief Executive, David Fraser commented: "The Company is currently conducting an extensive sampling programme on a number of its target areas ahead of this year's drilling programme on M2 and M4. The proposed drilling involves a number of deep holes targeting the potential sources of the mineralisation encountered at and near surface of both projects. We look forward to reporting the results of the Spring sampling programme as the results become available over the course of the summer and will keep shareholders updated as drilling commences and progresses."
