BOARD CHANGES AT GREENCORE
The Board of Greencore Group plc announces that it has elected Anthony D Barry
to the office of Chairman of the Company, and has co-opted Patrick T Kennedy
and F Peter Woodall as Executive Directors. These appointments take effect
from 21st February 2001. Tony Barry will serve as Chairman until the annual
general meeting next year.
Tony Barry (age 66) has been a member of the Greencore Board since November,
1992, and has been Chairman of its Remuneration Committee. He is a former
Chairman of CRH plc previously having been Chief Executive. He is a Director
of Bank of Ireland Group, DCC plc and Ivernia West Inc and a past President of
the Irish Business and Employers Confederation.
Patrick Kennedy (age 31) has been Group Development Manager of Greencore since
January, 1998. Prior to that he worked in the Amsterdam, Dublin and London
offices of McKinsey & Company, Management Consultants. Formerly he worked with
KPMG Corporate Finance in Dublin and Amsterdam.
Peter Woodall (age 57) was appointed Chief Executive of Hazlewood Foods plc on
its acquisition by Greencore last month. For eight years, he was Chief
Executive of Greencore's subsidiary Paramount Foods plc. Prior to that he was
Managing Director of a subsidiary of BSM BV, the global chemical group.

Commenting on the changes, Greencore's new Chairman said, 'My appointment is
for one year which will cover the important period of the integration of
Hazlewood into the Group. We are delighted to welcome two high calibre
executives to the Board. Patrick Kennedy is responsible for the
rationalisation of the combined business portfolio of the enlarged Group and
Peter Woodall has taken over responsibility for the management and performance
of Hazlewood. These appointments further strengthen the Board during this
important stage in the Group's development'.
