   Gresham Computing plc announces strategic alliance with
                           Tivoli


Gresham Computing plc ('Gresham'), provider of enterprise
software  and business solutions is pleased  to  announce
that  it has entered into a global distribution agreement
with  Tivoli  -  an  IBM  company, to  enable  enterprise
customers to maximise Storage Area Networking (SAN)  back
up efficiency.

As a result of the agreement Tivoli will be marketing and
selling   Gresham's   Extended  Data   Technology   (EDT)
DistribuTAPE software to its worldwide customer base as a
complement  to its Tivoli Storage Management (TSM)  suite
of programs. As part of the agreement, Gresham is working
with  Tivoli to provide technical support around the  EDT
product,  ensuring customers have a fast,  efficient  and
comprehensive access to experienced SAN technicians.

Andrew Walton-Green, CEO of Gresham said: 'This strategic
alliance  is  an excellent opportunity for both  Gresham,
Tivoli and StorageTek.  It allows a far wider audience of
StorageTek  library users to realise  the  advantages  of
operating  EDT in-conjunction with TSM.  EDT-DistribuTAPE
enables customers to realise substantial cost savings and
performance benefits from their investment in  StorageTek
libraries.'

Paul  Ellis,  storage marketing director at Tivoli  said:
