Qatar Investment Fund Plc (the "Company") announces that on 27 December 2012 it purchased 21,313 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD0.9075 and 25,145 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD0.9100. Following the above purchases, the Company holds 10,135,610 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 180,105,870 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

The above figure of 180,105,870 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
