QATAR INVESTMENT FUND PLC

TREASURY SHARES - CANCELLATION

Qatar Investment Fund Plc (the "Company") announces that the 75,000 shares purchased on 4 July 2011, 50,000 shares purchased 6 July 2011 and the 15,000 shares purchased on 7 July 2011 have been cancelled in accordance with the Company's treasury share policy published on 15 July 2010. Following the cancellation, the Company now holds 8,267,162 shares in treasury.

The Company's issued share capital comprises 224,589,304 ordinary shares with voting rights with a further 8,267,162 shares held in treasury.

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company's total number of shares with voting rights therefore remains unchanged at 224,589,304.
