QATAR INVESTMENT FUND PLC

TREASURY SHARES - CANCELLATION

Qatar Investment Fund Plc (the "Company") announces that the, 27,500 shares purchased on 19 December 2011, 50,000 shares purchased on 20 December 2011, 80,000 shares purchased on 21 December 2011 and 40,000 shares purchased on 22 December 2011 have been cancelled in accordance with the Company's treasury share policy published on 15 July 2010. Following the cancellation, the Company now holds 9,786,268 shares in treasury.

The Company's issued share capital comprises 180,455,212 ordinary shares with voting rights with a further 9,786,268 shares held in treasury.

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company's total number of shares with voting rights therefore remains unchanged at 180,455,212.
