QATAR INVESTMENT FUND PLC

TREASURY SHARES - CANCELLATION

Qatar Investment Fund plc (the "Company") announces that the 200,000 shares purchased on 13 July 2012, the 280,000 shares purchased on 16 July 2012, the 169,500 shares purchased on 17 July 2012, the 30,000 shares purchased on 18 July 2012 and the 250,000 shares purchased on 19 July 2012 have been cancelled in accordance with the Company's treasury share policy published on 15 July 2010. Following the cancellation, the Company now holds 5,042,864 shares in treasury.

The Company's issued share capital comprises 175,825,694 ordinary shares with voting rights with a further 5,042,864 shares held in treasury.

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company's total number of shares with voting rights therefore remains unchanged at 175,825,694.
