DATE OF BOARD MEETING TO ANNOUNCE INTERIM RESULTS AND RECOMMEND DIVIDEND

The Directors of Halma p.l.c. intend to hold a Board Meeting on 5 December
2000 at which the interim dividend for the 26 weeks to 30 September 2000
will be authorised.

The announcement of the profit for the 26 weeks will also be approved at that
meeting.
