INTEREST NOTIFIED UNDER SECTION 198 COMPANIES ACT 1985
Halma p.l.c. has today received notification from Silchester International
Investors Limited, acting as investment manager for a number of large
institutional investors and commingled funds, that as a result of recent
purchases of ordinary shares in Halma p.l.c. on behalf of its clients, it now
has control over 54,706,748 shares This represents 15.15% of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.
Silchester International Investors Limited do not act as custodian, and
therefore the shares are not held in their own name, but in the nominee name
of the custodian banks of their clients, as follows:
