APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Further to an announcement issued on 23 October 2000, Halma p.l.c. is pleased
to confirm the appointment of Mr Richard A Stone as a Non-executive Director
of Halma p.l.c. effective from today, 2 January 2001.
Richard retired as a member of the Global Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers on
30 September 2000. Prior to the merger with Price Waterhouse in 1998, he was
Deputy Chairman of Coopers & Lybrand, Head of UK Corporate Finance and
Chairman of the firm's European Corporate Finance activities.
PricewaterhouseCoopers are auditors to Halma p.l.c. but during his time there,
Richard had no involvement or influence on any matter relating to Halma p.l.c.
