Following the exercise of nil cost options granted on 11 May 2004 under the
Hammerson 2000 Deferred Share Plan, a director of Hammerson plc, Mr D J Atkins,
acquired 11,061 ordinary shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc on 25 May 2007. Of
the 11,061 shares acquired, 4,545 shares were sold at £15.80 on the same day.

As a result of this transaction, Mr D J Atkins now holds 10,200 ordinary shares
of 25p each in Hammerson plc.
