HAMMERSON INVESTOR VISIT TO LES TERRASSES DU PORT
Hammerson will today (12th June 2014) host a site visit for investors and analysts to its newly opened retail destination Les Terrasses du Port in Marseille.
The company will present key details about the development, its major digital infrastructure investment, and offer a wider analysis of its French portfolio and how macro trends are influencing French consumer spending and the country's retail outlook. This will be followed by a tour of Les Terrasses du Port by key members of the development and management team.
Jean-Philippe Mouton, Managing Director of Hammerson France said: "Les Terrasses du Port marks a new breed of shopping centre for our French portfolio and the reaction from both the market and consumers since opening has been outstanding. The experience has enabled us to create a blueprint for our developments moving forward."
The centre, which opened two weeks ago, has brought 30 new retailers to Marseille and has already welcomed over 650,000 shoppers. 40% of the retail floorspace within the centre is dedicated to fashion and 30% of the stores are international brands looking to expand their retail prominence in France.
Hammerson own and manage 10 shopping centres in France alongside development schemes which include Le Jeu de Paume in Beauvais and extension and refurbishment opportunities.
