Transaction in own shares
The Company purchased for cancellation through Citigroup Global Markets Limited
on 14 September 2007 750,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 1164.25
pence per share. The highest price paid was 1,181.5 pence per share and the
lowest price paid was 1,155 pence per share.
The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Hammerson Plc ('
Hammerson') currently holds 750,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and following
the purchase of these shares Hammerson's share capital consists of 289,825,217
ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding treasury shares).
The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, Hammerson under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
