AIRBUS TEST PROGRAMME UPDATE
Hardide plc, provider of advanced surface coating technology, is pleased to announce completion of the first stages of testing of its coating, Hardide-A, as a potential alternative to hard chrome plating in certain aerospace applications.
A technical performance review of Hardide-A in a laboratory environment has encouraged Airbus to investigate further its technical performance capabilities for potential use on some specific Airbus aircraft components.
The Company reports that, since January 2014, it has been working to develop its internal systems to standards of the aerospace industry's Nadcap accreditation.
Commenting on this announcement, Philip Kirkham, CEO of Hardide plc said: "I am pleased that Hardide-A has progressed through this Airbus technical review. This represents another important step towards possible approval of the coating for use on component parts for Airbus aircraft and I am encouraged that we are now moving on to the next stage in the process. I am also pleased to report that our plans to achieve the aerospace Nadcap accreditation are progressing well and are on schedule."

Notes to editors:
Hardide develops, manufactures and applies advanced technology tungsten-carbide coatings to a wide range of engineering components. Its patented technology is unique in combining in one material a mix of toughness and resistance to abrasion, erosion and corrosion; together with the ability to coat accurately interior surfaces and complex geometries. The material is proven to offer dramatic improvements in component life, particularly when applied to components that operate in very aggressive environments. This results in cost savings through reduced downtime and increased operational efficiency. Customers include leading companies operating in oil and gas exploration and production, valve and pump manufacturing, nuclear, advanced engineering and aerospace industries.
