                  Preliminary Results - Tuesday 13 December 2005

Hardide plc, the provider of unique surface engineering technology, advises that
it will be announcing its maiden Preliminary Results for the 12 months ended 30
September 2005 on Tuesday 13 December 2005.

An analyst briefing given by Jim Murray-Smith, Chief Executive, and Peter
Davenport, Chief Financial Controller, will be held at 09.30 am on Tuesday, 13
December 2005 at Abchurch Communications Ltd, 5th Floor, 100 Cannon Street,
London, EC4N 6EU.

Hardide is a surface engineering company that applies a patented protective 
coating to metal components used in extreme environments.  The Company's core 
market is the oil and gas sector where components are typically exposed to high 
levels of abrasion, corrosion and wear.  Hardide's unique coating typically 
extends the life of components by 5 times.

Unlike other coating methods, the Hardide Tungsten Carbide application does not 
use a cobalt-based binding agent and is also applied in gaseous form, enabling 
Hardide to coat out-of-sight surfaces and complex shapes.

Customers include global companies operating in the oil and gas, valves, pumps
and aerospace sectors.

Hardide has a full-scale production facility located in Bicester, UK and a sales
and manufacturing office in Houston, Texas.
