Result of General Meeting
On 22 June 2012, UK Coal plc ("UK Coal") announced the Disposal of Harworth Power (Generation) Limited subject to Shareholder approval. Accordingly, a circular was sent to Shareholders on 14 September 2012 giving notice of a General Meeting to consider and approve the Disposal (the "Circular").
The Company is pleased to announce that the Resolution was duly passed at the General Meeting held earlier this afternoon and the Disposal is therefore expected to complete today. A summary of the proxy voting is set out below.
