AGM STATEMENT
At its Annual General Meeting today, Trevor Larman, Chairman of Headlam Group,
announced that sales in its UK floorcovering distribution businesses have
realised a 5.1% increase in the first 20 weeks of 2003, on a like-for-like
basis.
Sales of residential products to independent floorcovering retailers and
commercial products to flooring contractors have contributed equally to this
increase.
The 11 businesses acquired in the UK during the last 18 months are producing the
anticipated return and the European businesses continue to provide a
satisfactory contribution to the group's profit.
With this positive performance, the group looks forward to another year of
growth in profitability.
