Application for new listing


Applications have been made to The UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for a block listing of 5,238,900 ordinary shares of 1p each (the
'Shares') to be admitted to the Official List and to trade on the London Stock
Exchange upon issuance.  The Shares are to be issued pursuant to the exercise of
options under the Helical Bar 1999 Share Option Scheme as and when such options
are exercised. The Shares shall rank pari passu with the existing issued
ordinary shares of the Company.
