NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PARTIES
The Company was informed today that the following transactions had taken place:
1. Performance Share Plan Awards
On 4 December 2007 the first shares awarded under the terms of the Helical Bar
plc Performance Share Plan 2004 were made available to directors and employees
of the Company. These shares were originally allocated on 18 August 2004 and
having met their performance criteria are available to be taken by the
award-holders.
Shares awarded to the directors and the net shares retained after payment of
associated tax liabilities are as follows:

2. Helical Bar plc Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ('ESOP')
On 4 December 2007, the Company's ESOP holding of ordinary 1p shares reduced
from 5,075,226 (5.3%) shares to 3,570,868 (3.7%) following the vesting of share
awards under the Performance Share Plan and the transfer of shares to directors'
and employees.
3. Directors' Interests in Shares

4. Michael Slade, Chief Executive of Helical Bar, commented:
'The directors are confident that Helical's strategy should ensure the Company
is well positioned to perform strongly, even in more challenging markets, and
have therefore chosen to retain the shares awarded to them (net of tax), thereby
increasing the proportion of shares held by the Board by 1.2% to 18.9%.'
