                  HELICAL BAR APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


Helical Bar is pleased to announce that Andrew Gulliford BSc (Est Man), FRICS
has been appointed to the Board as an independent non-executive director with
immediate effect.  He has also been appointed to the Audit, Remuneration and
Nominations and Appointments Committees of Helical Bar.


Andrew Gulliford (aged 59) is currently a non-executive director of McKay
Securities PLC and ISIS Property Trust 2.  He is a former Deputy Senior Partner
of Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker where he headed up their Investment Group.


No further details remain to be disclosed as required under chapter 16.4 of the
FSA Listing Rules.
