                HELICAL BAR PLC ('Helical Bar 'or 'the Company')







The Company was informed today that the following transactions had taken place:







1.      Helical Bar plc Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ('ESOP')



On 14 January 2008 the Company's ESOP purchased 128,075 ordinary 1p shares in
the company at 330p per share. Following this purchase the ESOP holds 4,170,868
(4.4%) ordinary 1p shares in the company.
