PAYMENT OF THIRD INTERIM DIVIDEND

Henderson High Income Trust plc announces that a third interim dividend of 2.075p per Ordinary Share of 5p, in respect of the year ending 31 December 2008, will be paid on 30 January 2009 to holders registered at the close of business on 9 January 2009. The shares will be quoted ex-dividend on 7 January 2009.
