Appointment of New Non-Executive Director

Henderson Opportunities Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Frances Daley as a non‑executive director to the Board with effect from 18 June 2015.

George Burnett, Chairman of Henderson Opportunities Trust plc, said "my fellow Directors and I are delighted that Frances Daley has agreed to join the Board as a non executive Director of the Company. Frances is a chartered accountant who brings a wealth of financial and commercial experience to the Board having held several senior finance and general management positions in accountancy, investment banking and corporate sector companies over the last 27 years. She is a non executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Baring Emerging Europe PLC, an emerging markets investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange. 

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mrs Daley.
