SUBSCRIPTION SHARES CANCELLATION

Pursuant to the announcement released to the market earlier today, notification is hereby given that Henderson Opportunities Trust plc ("the Company") has repurchased and cancelled 1,603,982 subscription shares for a nominal amount, as part of the final subscription share conversion procedure.

Following the transaction, the issued share capital of the Company is now 8,000,858 ordinary shares of 25p each. The number of ordinary shares to be used in the calculation of voting rights is now 8,000,858.
