Appointment of New Auditors

The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc (the 'Company') announces that, following a formal tender process led by the Audit Committee, the Board has approved the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as Statutory Auditors for the financial year ending 31 May 2019, subject to completing the necessary processes. Their appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting in 2018.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP remain the Company's Statutory Auditors for the financial year ending 31 May 2018.
