Annual General Meeting held on 5 October 2012

The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc announces that, at the Annual General Meeting held earlier today, all the resolutions put to the meeting were duly passed.  The resolutions that were passed included two special resolutions, one of which gives authority to the Company to make market purchases of its own ordinary shares up to a maximum of 14.99% of the issued share capital (equivalent to 11,197,799 ordinary shares as at 5 October 2012).
