HERALD INVESTMENT TRUST PLC                                                        

The Company today announces that, following the conclusion of a formal audit tender process, the Board on a recommendation from the Audit Committee has approved the proposed appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) as its auditor for the year ending 31 December 2019. The appointment of PwC as auditor will be subject to confirmation by the shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company.

Pursuant to Section 520(2) of the Companies Act 2006, a letter containing the Statement of Circumstances from Ernst & Young LLP in respect of its cessation of office has today been sent to the Company's shareholders for information only. The letter has been submitted to the UK Listing Authority ("the UKLA"), and will shortly be available for inspection at the UKLA's Document Viewing Facility, via the National Storage Mechanism, which is located at www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM.
