Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Hamilton, Bermuda (16 November 2012) -- Hiscox Ltd (LSE:HSX), the international specialist insurer, today announces the appointment of Caroline Foulger as a non-executive director to the Board. Caroline will join the Board with effect from 1 January 2013.

Until May 2012, Caroline led PricewaterhouseCoopers' (PwC) Insurance and Reinsurance team in Bermuda, a role she has held since 2004. More recently Caroline has added to her role, heading up the PwC Bermuda Government and Public Sector Practice. She has spent twenty years in public practice working with teams across continents providing Advisory and Assurance to a range of global insurance and reinsurance businesses. These clients have ranged from start-ups to significant global operators both public and private.

As a member of PwC's Global Insurance Leadership team Caroline has developed a significant network in Bermuda, New York and London and is responsible for PwC's relationship with the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers (ABIR). Caroline is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda and a member of the Institute of Directors.

There are no other details that are required to be disclosed in respect of the appointment of Caroline Foulger under Paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
