Hiscox Bermuda - Management Change
Hamilton, Bermuda (27 February, 2009) - Hiscox announced today that Charles Dupplin, currently Chairman of Hiscox's Art and Private Client division and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, will succeed Rob Childs as Chief Executive of Hiscox Bermuda. Charles will take up this new role in April 2009, subject to regulatory approval.
As previously announced, Rob Childs will return to the UK towards the end of April 2009. He will continue in his roles as Group Director of Underwriting and Chairman of Hiscox USA. He will also serve as an internal non-executive of Hiscox Bermuda.
Robert Read will assume overall responsibility for Art and Private Client underwriting. Charles will retain his responsibilities as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for the Group.

Biography - Charles Dupplin:
Charles joined Hiscox in 1990. He ran Hiscox's network of Continental European offices from 1995-2000 and, in 2004, was appointed to lead the Group's the Art and Private Client division which specialises in fine art and high net worth household insurance. Charles is responsible for the Group's mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. Before joining Hiscox, Charles began his career in 1985 at Credit Suisse First Boston Ltd, as an associate in corporate finance. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University and is a qualified Barrister. Charles has been Chairman of the Royal Caledonian Trust since 1997, is President of the London Members of the National Trust for Scotland and is a member of the Royal Company of Archers (Queen's Bodyguard for Scotland).
