Hamilton, Bermuda (21 July 2008) - Hiscox Ltd (HSX:L), the international specialist insurer, announces the formation, subject to appropriate Bermudian government approvals, of a new specialist reinsurance and insurance team. Based in Bermuda, Philadelphia and London the team will be led by Bob Forness who joins us from the Imagine Group where he was Chief Underwriting Officer.  Bob joins Hiscox on the 1st September.

This new team enables Hiscox to extend its product range to include custom risk reinsurance, specialising in corporates, captives and risk retention groups.  The new lines of business will complement the existing portfolio of property catastrophe business already underwritten in Hiscox Bermuda and London.  

Rob Childs, Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Executive of Hiscox Bermuda, said:  'Bob brings 20 years of broad underwriting knowledge to Hiscox.  I look forward to the opportunities that Bob and his team will bring with this extension of our product range and expertise.'
