On 10 May 2006, Hiscox plc allotted 3,753 shares at an exercise price of
£1.32166 and 1,240 shares at an exercise price of £1.22268, under the Hiscox
ShareSave Scheme.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing class of ordinary 5p shares
in issue.

The issued share capital of Hiscox plc is now 392,719,280 ordinary shares of 5p
each.
