                                Sharesave Scheme

On 10 March 2003, the board of Hiscox plc allotted a total of 10,221 shares of
5p each at the exercise prices below following the exercise of options under the
Sharesave Scheme:

1,220 shares allotted at £0.665 each
3,782 shares allotted at £0.881 each
5,219 shares allotted at £0.728 each

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing class of ordinary 5p shares
in issue.
