Board Appointment

Home Retail Group plc, the UK's leading home and general merchandise retailer, announces that Jacqueline de Rojas has joined its Board as a non-executive director with effect from 4th December 2012.

Jacqueline de Rojas is VP and General Manager, UK & Ireland, CA Technologies, an IT management and software and solutions company, and will take on this non-executive role in addition to her existing executive role.

Jacqueline has close to 30 years experience in general management and sales roles in software technology businesses including McAfee International, Novell, Cartesis, Business Objects and Informix.

John Coombe, Chairman of Home Retail Group, said: "With extensive experience in software technology, Jacqueline will be a strong addition to our Board as Argos implements its transformation plan to become a digital retail leader and Homebase extends its online experience for customers."  

In accordance with the Listing Rules, Home Retail Group confirms that there are no matters relating to Jacqueline de Rojas that would require disclosure under LR 9.6.13R (2) to LR 9.6.13R (6).
