                       DIRECTORS' / PDMRs' SHAREHOLDINGS

The Company has been advised by Yorkshire Building Society ('YBS') that YBS, as
trustee of the Home Retail Group UK Approved All-Employee Plan ('the Plan'), now
holds 1,426,782 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company on behalf of the
Plan. The notification from YBS was received by the Company on 5 February.

As announced on 17 November 2006, the holding at that date was 1,433,005
ordinary shares.

Executive directors of the Company are potential beneficiaries of the Plan and
accordingly any changes in the shareholding by the Plan are deemed to change
their interests in the ordinary share capital of the Company. However, no
director or person discharging managerial responsibility exercised any options
and no shares were released to them. The balances of shares in respect of their
personal interests therefore remain unchanged.

This disclosure is made under section 329 of the Companies Act 1985 and
Disclosure Rule 3.1.4.
