HOME RETAIL GROUP PLC (the "Company")

PDMR SHAREHOLDINGS

The Company received notification on 24 May 2012 of the following transactions in its Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each ("ordinary shares") by persons discharging managerial responsibility (PDMRs).

Awards made under the terms of the Home Retail Group Performance Share Plan 

The Company made awards on 23 May 2012 under the terms of the Company's Performance Share Plan.  The awards are subject to performance conditions* and the maximum number of ordinary shares that could vest in the case of each PDMR is as follows:
