MFI Furniture Group PLC ('MFI') Appoints
Asian business leader to its Board
MFI Furniture Group PLC today announced the appointment of Paul M. F. Cheng, a
Hong Kong-based business leader, to its board as a non-executive director with
effect from 1 August 2005. Paul has extensive public company experience, and was
former Chairman of Inchcape Pacific Ltd and a former member of the Hong Kong
Legislative Council.
Paul was recently appointed Chairman of The Link Management Limited, which
manages most of the estate shopping malls and car parking facilities owned by
the Hong Kong Government. Paul is currently also a senior advisor of Deutsche
Bank in Asia Pacific.
Commenting on the appointment, Ian Peacock, Chairman, said,
'We are delighted to welcome Paul to the board as Asia, particularly China, will
represent important sourcing opportunities for MFI.'
