We hereby notify you that we were advised on 14 November 2000 that on 13
November 2000 the trustee of the MFI Employee Share Trust acquired 27,205 MFI
Furniture Group Plc ordinary 10p shares at 56 pence per share in connection
with the operation of the MFI 2000 Share Option Scheme. The directors of MFI
Furniture Group Plc are deemed to be interested in all of the shares held by
the trustee of the Trust as potential beneficiaries of the Trust.
