ISSUANCE OF SENIOR UNSECURED NOTES

On 16 August 2016, HSBC Holdings plc issued GBP1,000,000,000 2.625% Senior Unsecured Notes due 2028 under its Debt Issuance Programme (the 'New Notes').

Application has been made to list the New Notes on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.
