ISSUANCE OF SENIOR UNSECURED NOTES

On 21 December 2016, HSBC Holdings plc issued EUR 900,000,000 Floating Rate Notes due December 2018 under its Debt Issuance Programme (the "New Notes").

Application has been made to list the New Notes on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.
