HSBC ISSUANCE OF SUBORDINATED NOTES

On 10 June 2009, HSBC Holdings plc issued EUR1,750,000,000 of 6 per cent Subordinated Notes 2019 (the "New Notes"). 

Application has been made to list the New Notes on the London Stock Exchange.
