HSBC HOLDINGS PLC PRE-CLOSE BRIEFINGS WITH ANALYSTS
HSBC Holdings plc will be meeting with analysts ahead of its close period for
the half year ending 30 June 2001.
The briefings will provide an opportunity to review the trends noted in the
Group Chairman's statement to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on
Friday 25 May 2001, which included information relating to the first quarter
of 2001. Sir John Bond's statement can be found at www.hsbc.com where it is
available for download.
HSBC's 2001 interim results will be announced on Monday 6 August.
