Director Declaration and Retirement
Hunting PLC (LSE:HTG) today notes the announcement made by Porvair PLC regarding the appointment of John Nicholas as non-executive Director and Chairman designate with effect from 1 October 2017.
Mr Nicholas has notified the Company that, given this new appointment, he will not be seeking re-election as a Director of Hunting at its Annual General Meeting in April 2018, and will retire as a Director at the conclusion of the meeting. Mr Nicholas was due to step down in August 2018 following normal Board succession planning, given the completion of nine years of service as a Director.
A search for a new independent non-executive Director is already underway, with appropriate announcements to be made in due course.
Commenting on Mr Nicholas' retirement, Jay Glick Chairman of Hunting, said:
"We are grateful for John's service to Hunting over the past eight years, particularly as chairman of the Company's Audit Committee. We wish him well for the future."
