Directors' Resignations and Appointments
By mutual agreement, Mark Shashoua, Chief Executive, and Deanne Shashoua,
Communications Director, have today resigned from the board of ITE. The board
is considering a number of potential candidates and an announcement of the new
Chief Executive should be made later this month. During the interim period,
Lawrie Lewis, ITE's Chairman, will take over as acting Chief Executive. Both
Mark Shashoua and Deanne Shashoua will remain employed by the Company until 31
December 1999 in order to achieve a smooth transition.
The Company has agreed to appoint Gregory Ward as Business Development and
Commercial Director. He will commence this role on 1 October 1999. Gregory
Ward joins ITE from Reed Exhibition Companies Limited, a subsidiary of Reed
Elsevier plc, where he worked for three and a half years in commercial
management and strategic development. This experience will add value to the
Company in continuing its growth plans in Europe and emerging markets.
Lawrie Lewis said, 'It is always disappointing to lose one of the Company's
founders and the Board appreciates Mark Shashoua's contribution to the organic
growth of ITE. He has helped create the firm foundations and strong management
team which are the base for ITE's expansion into new geographical areas. I am
also delighted that Gregory Ward is joining us and his experience from Reed
will complement our growth strategy.'
