Engineering Information Management unit wins $1.5m contract in US
IDOX plc (AIM: IDOX), a leading independent supplier of software and services to the UK public sector and global asset intensive industries, announced today that its Engineering Information Management subsidiary McLaren Software has agreed to supply its application software suite and related services to Southern Company Services in the US.
McLaren will supply its Enterprise application software suite to Southern Generation in a deal with an initial contract value of $1.5m. The license agreement also allows for other divisions within Southern Company to utilise McLaren's Enterprise suite and related services for an additional cost.
Southern Company Services is a unit of Southern Company, one of the largest generators of electricity in the US. Southern serves 4.4m customers, generates 43,000 megawatts of power and its regulated regional utilities serve a 120,000 square mile territory across the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.
