i-documentsystems achieves its targets and wins important contract
i-documentsystems group plc, the e-government solutions provider, announces that
since its interim results in July, the company has obtained commitments from a
further ten new local authorities. It has therefore achieved its stated target
of 50 local authority clients by the end of October 2002.
In addition, i-documentsystems has won an eight-year contract with Syntegra,
BT's systems integration business, to supply City of Edinburgh Council
('Edinburgh') with the award-winning IDOX Software for document and information
management. The initial value of the contract is £217,000. This agreement
follows rigorous competition from other leading suppliers of Electronic Document
and Records Management Solutions.
Key factors in the selection of i-documentsystems were the flexibility of the
software to integrate and co-exist with other systems and applications and the
scalability of the software to meet Syntegra's requirements for Edinburgh's
business direction.
The first area of deployment at Edinburgh will be Planning and Building Control.
This will be operational by December 2002. Syntegra will then rollout this
solution to other areas of Edinburgh as part of the drive to meet e-Government
target dates, improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services for citizens
and reduce expenditure.
Andrew Fraser, CEO of i-documentsystems, said:
'I am pleased to report our relationship with Syntegra which is important to the
continued development of the company. Since our flotation two years ago
i-documentsystems has expanded considerably and continually delivered on its
promises. Revenues for the full year to 31 October 2002 will meet the analyst's
expectations of £3 million. Cash reserves stand at around £2.5 million. The
Group's pipeline is robust and continues to grow month on month as fresh
opportunities emerge. In addition, the acquisition of The Planning Exchange in
May 2002 has proved most successful.'
i-documentsystems will be announcing preliminary results for the year ended
31 October 2002 on Monday 16 December 2002.
