Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 5 April 2012 it purchased 150,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 99.0p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 99.25p and the lowest price paid was 98.75p.  These shares will be held in Treasury. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 34,194,303 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 290,315,070.
